Adding an honorific suffix after shipping/billing names

I want to add honorific suffixes (for Japanese!) after the names in all instances that they appear in billing addresses and shipping addresses (including in confirmation mails). I am not a PHP/MySQL pro by any means, but have managed to do many customizations that I needed through trial and error. But THIS one seems an impenetrable puzzle. Can anybody guide me in the right direction? What files and what variables are at play here? I feel like I am going in endless circles aroung the same 3 or 4 files the SEEM to be related to the task...

 

Any hints would be greatly appreciated!!!!
