Emmett Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 When adding a new product to the catalog you have the ability to: set a product's url if you need to link out to another site Ok, I don't see any more explanation about this. My question is: If I use this feature will the customer still be able to add this item to their cart in my store? If yes, can I prevent it? I have a gift store and a few items are special. I am able to display the items on my site but cannot actually sell the item on my site. I must link to the originating site where my customer may purchace the item and I will receive a commission for the sale. Thank You Emmett
Guest Posted March 5, 2004 Posted March 5, 2004 I don't see how it is possible to do this with items in your catalog. The products get displayed in product_info.php and the document is filled based on the item selected. The add to cart button is the same for every product. One workaround you could do is create a page with that specific product using one of your information pages as a template. you could use the add to cart button but set the url for the supplier url.
