Order copies emailed to individual product owners

I am looking at setting up consignment sales. A feature that would be very useful in this type of setting would be the ability to include an email address for each product and have a copy of the order for that product sent to that address.

 

This would allow the cart manager to offer items for third parties on consignment then have the person who owns the item receive an email when it is sold so they know who/where to ship it. Emails would need to send the product information and shipping address of the buyer along with the amount ( but no credit card information )

 

Anyone up to this? I am not a programmer so would not have a clue tho I am starting to study PHP & MySQL. :?:

I am working on this and should have something to view within the next week or so.

 

I am building it so that the 3rd party eiter gets an email each time a product gets purchased, or as a summary email once in a specified time frames e.g. every 24 hours.

 

Also each product has an option to include a custom message to the 3rd party retailer.

 

Any other features would be helpfull.

 

I have also built a module that will allow store owners to include their products in affiliate window, when adding or updating a product. I will create another post on this ibn the 'Contributions' forum.

It's quite interesting that I should stop by to ask this same question and find it in the top of the list :)

 

Just set up OSC on my server this evening.

 

I'm interested in setting up a multi-vendor site as well. There are other features I'd like to see added (if there aren't work arounds or hacks), but I'll post those individually when time allows.

 

However, I offer 3D content products which I create and am interested in creating a brokerage so that other content creators can sell through my site.

 

I'd love to know what you come up with in regards to this since, I too, would like to see that my vendors recieve an email notification each time one of their products sell.

I have been searching for a couple of weeks for a solution like this, or information regarding one, and not seeing this thread, I started another.

 

I too am looking to set up aconsignment type of store, although I was going ot process the payments, and pay the respective sellers on say the 1st and 15th of each month. Only features I require that hasn't been mentioned is seller accounts so that both the admin and the seller can see what they've sold (so you know what to charge them), and a feedback/reputation system.

 

I'd love to learn more about this change you are making, and would be willing to contribute either monetarily or time (I can't code, can help test though).
