In catalog/index.php search for

<?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?>

and change to

<?php // echo HEADING_TITLE; ?>

search for

<?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_default.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?>

to remove pix

<?php // echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_default.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?>

Hope this helps! :?:

OK a cheat's fix, which is what I did, is to find, in your images folder, a gif called something like clearpixel.gif, which is just a 1x1 pixel transparent gif.

Download that and save it as all your table_background_***.gif images. (get the titles from the images folder). Then upload them all and overwrite the old images with them.

This also gets rid of the space as, technically, it is still there but is the height of the new gif, which is only one pixel.
