hi,

I want to use a different layout on the homepage from the rest of the site. I have a signpost drawing as menu for my categories on the homepage whereas on any other page of the shop it will be rater a standard list menu.

any ideas on how i can achieve this without doing too much structural changes to the shop itself (cause index.php seems to get used a lot in the shop, so i can't really change that for my needs...)

so, is there something unique about the homepage which i can check and then call a different left column for example? like a variable that tells me i'm on the home page?

thanks for any hints!

thanks - but when i look at a category for example this also goes via index.php, doesn't it?

(ie.

 if ($PHP_SELF == FILENAME_DEFAULT)

would be true although i'm not looking at my actual home page)

any other clues?

cheers!
