product_info headings

In product_info.php I am trying to make the title of the product go and be replaced by an image that changes according to the product.

I have got rid of the text and its replaced by an image, I just now need some sort of if statement to get the image to change?

Cheers for any help!

Hmm - in the first place I would try putting the link for the image in the Product Header field

eg <img src="images/yourimage.gif">

and see if that works.

Well I just tried it (as I am inputting products right now) and it works - the image is created but you might want to play with it and see if you can make it look better.

I have just tried that and it doesnt work for me...

It changes my file from "http://www.test.com/test/catalog/images/test.jpg"

to "http://www.test.com/test/catalog/<br><span%20class="

Any ideas?

And it adds loads of backslashes into my product description!

Yikes - where are you putting it?

I just put it in the new products page in the admin section under Products name - worked fine. It doesn't display in admin but it does display in the shop.

I can't help you if it doesn't work - I just know enough to be dangerous - I'm not good when things go wrong.

Sorry :(

too quickly bug you again...

I am using fairly big images, so it cocks up the best sellers and product notification list. Any idea if you can make it use a thumbnail image in these parts?

Uh - pass! That's what I meant by playing with it to make it look better. :D

Are you having your product name anywhere at all - because then you could tell the product notification boxes to display the name instead of the image. Or perhaps make it say something like "Notify me to updates to this product" and take out the image altogether.

mmmm,

Think the way I was looking at doing it in the start will make it a lot easier, as it will not affect the rest of the site!

Anyone any ideas on my original question?
