The e-commerce.

Is this possible?

I have made an infobox on my osc site that has a link to it on the "information" box on the left. The link in the information box looks like this:

Great, this loads my infobox fine. Problem is that the text is quite long and I want to have a menu at the top with links to named anchors further down the page. Putting the link just as

#mynamedanchor
doesn't work - it just reloads the default page because the browser calls http://www.mysite.com/catalog/#mynamedanchor. Using http://www.mysite.com/catalog/information....9#mynamedanchor does work but the contents of the shopping basket is wiped out, presumably because I'm missing off the
?osCsid=9ddd1e6bd040c81e027b82eb2c3e773d&
bit which is the cookie with the session info. Question is, is there a way that I can prefix this session info to the anchor link so that I don't loose my shopping basket?

You're a genius if you know the way...

Thanks,

Justin

OK, talking to myself now...

I found from an earlier post that the way to get rid of the session ID is to change "force cookie usage" to true in admin. So now may page and achors work fine because I don't need to add the session ID. Problem is that the cookies don't work. Whenever I try to add stuff to my cart I just get the "cookie usage" page telling me to change my browser settings to allow cookies. Security is set to low and to allow all cookie on my IE 6.0 but still no luck. No luck with Netscape either. Has anybody else had these cookie problems and do they know of a solution?

Thanks,

Justin

My config file has these settings

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'http://www.mysite.com');

 define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'https://secure.isp.co.uk/www.mysite.com');

 define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/');

 define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/');

these urls work fine for secure checkout routine (its a shared secure server)

Thanks,

I'd try

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.mysite.com');

 define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'secure.isp.co.uk');

 define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/');

 define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/www.mysite.com/catalog/');

Hello Matt,

This works in that the cookies now seem to set. The problem is that I now get 2 sets of cookies - one for the secure server and one for the unsecure server, so if you add stuff to your cart and then go to the secure server to checkout, the cart is empty on the secure server.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Justin
