Error #2 and Create New Order in the backend

I have searched the forums for "Error #2" which found 34 results.  Unfortunately none of them addressed my issue as the majority dealt with the Paypal interface.

While working within the ORDERS section, after pressing the Create New Order button at the top of the page I am taken to the "Create new order" page.

Pressing the "Add new product" button takes me to the "Add new product" popup page where the categories are displayed (on the left side).  Selecting a category then replaces the categories and displays the items within the category.  Each item has an "Add" button.  Clicking on the Add button places the item in the "cart" on the right hand side of the page. showing the price, quantity and tax information.  At the bottom of the right hand column is an orange Add button.  When the Add button is pressed I am presented with

Error (#2)
An internal server error occurred.
The above error occurred while the Web server was processing your request.
Please contact us if you think this is a server error. Thank you.

I tried both Chrome and MS Edge with the same results.

Suggestions on a fix for this would be appreciated.

Server System is
Linux 5.15.0-75-generic
MySQL 8.0.41-0ubuntu0.22.04.1 
Apache
8.1.2-1ubuntu2.20 (Zend 4.1.2)

@ChadduckHi BJ. Take a look at the error log in settings->tools to see if it shows anything useful. If not, your host may be able to determine the cause of the error from the server logs. If neither help, you can PM one of the team and ask that they take a look.

Apologies in the delay of the thanks but I got side tracked on a personal project.

Will be revisiting this shortly and will let everyone know what I discover.
