Removing space below the footer

Guest

Recommended Posts

I always get some space below the footer area.

  </tr>

</table><!-- footer_eof //-->

<br>

</body>

</html>

This is the last few lines of code from one of the pages, as viewed in IE.

How do I remove the "<br>" ? I guess that would remove the space.

Which page would be on? It's not on the footer.

Thanks

Steve

Always show a reference to your site. So, people can see what you are refering to. Maybe check your footer.php. you will find it in catalog/includes folder.

My site is on a test server which can't be seen from the net.

I've checked the footer.php not there, I think it be a file which puts the header, body & footer together. I just don't know which file that is.

These are the last 2 lines of footer.php

 </tr>

</table>

These these are last few lines of code that show in my web browser.

 </tr>

</table><!-- footer_eof //-->

<br>

</body>

</html>

Copy the tags first some where so that you can always replace them where they belong. So, if it doesn't work. Then put the html codes back.

Get rid off these.

</tr>

</table>

Code:

</tr>

</table><!-- footer_eof //-->

<br>

</tr>

</table><!-- footer_eof //-->

<!-- Here was the <br>  -->

</body>

</html>

My problem I don't know which page the <br> is in, it's not in the footer.php

Check the index.php, I'll look for it later, but the fact that you have

"<!-- footer_eof //-->" meaning end of footer implies there's another file that includes footer.php.
