SSL problems, am I missing something?

I have installed version 2.2 everything is working fine except for the SSL, when I activate it, every url comes back as "page not found" am I missing something? am I supposed to load all the pages into the https directory?

The documentation doesn't say anything about this and I cannot find an answer to this problem either.

I have tried just about everything and I still can't get it to work.

Please help!!

In both your includes/configure.php

Did you put your ssl url in

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'your ssl url.come'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

Yes I have added the https://mywebsite.com to both config files and it still comes back with page not found.

All links change to https.... instead of http once I turn on SSL.

I am assuming that the system is supposed to grab the pages from the http site or am I supposed to install the pages on the https folder?

I have checkd with my host and they have advised that any content that should be encrypted should be loaded into my httpsdocs folder.

So if this is the case, do I have to load the entire catalogue into this folder and if I just want the checkout pocedure to be encrypted but not general browsing of the catalogue, then which files should be uploaded to the httpsdocs folder?
