Discount by User feature

Does anyone know the easiest method of implementing the following feature?

 

I have a set price for my products for the general public.

 

However, I would like that resellers of our products would also use the general website, but upon signing in they receive a set discount from the general public and this would be displayed for every product. The discount being parametised on their sign-on.

 

In an ideal world, I would like to set up a class of users (eg. Public, Resellers, Wholesales) who I could attribute a generic discount %.

 

I would then be able to override these defaults on the individual customer records.
