Guest Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Please help!! I've set up the tax zone for CA state, the rate, the class, the zone,, turned the display tax on, tried resorting the tax to show before and after the shipping on checkout but it never shows up at all. Is there somewhere else that I'm missing? Joanne
Guest Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 Be sure that the product is marked as taxable in admin>product edit page
Guest Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 I went back and checked that every product was taxable every product prior to posting. I still can't find a solution.
Guest Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Setting up taxes can be tricky - take a look here: http://wiki.oscommerce.com/helpAdminTaxes
Guest Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Woo hoo!! That worked. I must have missed that interim step in the inital set up. Thanks much!
edukes Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 I'm having the same problem. I want to just charge for South Carolina residents. I tried to follow the instructions in the link above but after creating the new zone and clicking on it, I don't see this part: Click on the "CA" (or whatever name you have!) in the list and you will see the heading say "Geographical Zones / CA" .. I don't see anything about Geographical Zones. I'm using osC2.2-MS2 Are these instructions for an earlier version? TIA
Guest Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 i keep getting an error on checkout_process.php line 133 which is taxes. he error only occurs if u specify ur address as SC or NC which are the 2 zones I have set up for taxes. Sometimes I ship from NC and sometimes I ship from SC. Anyway, is it alrght to have 2 tax zones like this? or is this causing my problem? thanks

You can have more han one tax zone
