How to add new field during checkout?

Recommended Posts

I have already added a new field to the orders table and installed the radio buttons to accept the data, but I cannot find how to get the checkout procedure to actually write the data to the order table. I want to include a "no receipt" option and will have a variable $receipt_include but need to write it with the order info.

Seems like I'm so close but can't get it done. I've looked throuh all the checkout .php files and order.php but can't locate what I'm missing.

Any help?

I placed detailed instructions for adding a radio button via checkout in this post:

Check the instructions for what to add on the /catalog/includes/classes/order.php page -- maybe you missed something like that?
