fgwhite Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 osCommerce is teasing me. I initially installed it and to my surprise it worked with out a hitch. I played around with it for a while and decided that I'd use it as my production catalog (currently using Clickcartpro - too much administrative overhead) To make a long story short I deleted the original installation and attempted to reinstall it. Now I'm getting the following error: New Installation Database Import The following error has occurred: SQL file does not exist: /install/oscommerce.sql I've checked that oscommerce.sql is actually there, I've checked permissions on configure.php and I've worked for several hours trying to reinstall it. I have deleted the initial osCommerce database in /usr/local/mysql/var and have checked that mysql is running. Can't figure this out. I was really looking forward to using osCommerce. (My only constellation is that it this wasn't a production rollout.) ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks! Frank Ever wish people could recover from a "fatal error?"
Guest Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 It's a known error with the MS2 install. The simplest thing is to upload the database in a DB admin tool like phpMyAdmin and set the install to skip the database import. Hth, Matt

Hope the learning curve on phpMyAdmin is not to steep. Thanks! Frank Ever wish people could recover from a "fatal error?"
