Making all products Taxable Goods

I have seen a lot of "Tax" questions and Yes...I too am having problems.

But I am wondering if my problem is because all of my products have a "No Tax Table" default.

Is there a way to edit all of the products to read as Taxable Goods without going through each one?

I have tried a Mock purchase, with the taxable state, but no tax is applied.

I then checked the product details and it states no tax table.

Is that the way they are supposed to be?

Thanks!

You can use PhpMyAdmin and run a query directly on the database like this:

UPDATE  products set products_tax_class_id = '1' where products_id > '0'

Does this work with the most recent version? I just tried it, and rather of doing what it was supposed to, it made everything into "No tax" (I simply want everything to turn into "Taxable Goods."
