Passing variables/parameters: a problem?

I recently installed another OSC shop site, but I have a new problem that I never encountered before.

The website is on a different hosting provider, so the PHP/MySQL settings may be different than my previous OSC site.

One thing that really bugs me is that on my new OSC site, the URL comes out different and look very disturbing. For example:

http://www.somesite.com/product_info.php/p...products_id/112

should've been:

http://www.somesite.com/product_info.php?p...products_id=112

What's happening to the "?" and the "=" for passing variables? Is it the new OSC site's hosting provider's PHP engine settings? How do I overcome this. To let you know, the pages do pass the variables correctly.

This problem becomes more apparent after I installed coolMenu contribution. If i go to the main site (like http://www.somesite.com), the menu works just fine, but after I click on a category item, it goes to index.php or product_info.php depending on the category item I click, then the menu does not show up. On the bottom of IE it says there's an error:

Done, but with errors on page. To be precise, it says that it can't find makeCM function which is included in a .js file that comes with the contribution. I fired up Notepad and opened it up, and found the makeCM function definiton.

What's wrong?

If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
