1046 - No Database Selected ***Admin only

I've just completed an install connecting to an existing osc database.

 

When accessing through catalog/default.php there are no problems connecting, but when accessing through admin, I get 1046 - No Database Selected.

 

Any ideas ?

I tried echoing out servername username and password from catalog/admin/includes/functions/database.php

and got:

 

server:

username: mysql

password:

database: osCommerce

 

which these are not the uname and database name I used in configuration.

 

Any ideas ? Where are the database parameters stored?
