Losing Sessions ( intermittently ? )

Recommended Posts

Greetings All,

I've been banging my head on my keyboard for days now so.............

Can anyone offer any advice?

I have a problem with sessions! I can log in (either using linda's LoginBox or login.php) which works fine. As long as I stay on secure pages (account.php, account_edit.php etc.) I remain logged in, but, as soon as I go back to non secure pages (product links etc) I get "Welcome Guest"

My machine at home is fine - in & out of secure.

My Machine at work is fine - if I log on as Administrator.

However my main logon gives me this problem.

I've also experienced this (embarassingly) on 5 of my customers machines - on-site this past week.

I had this problem about a month ago & it seemed to go away of it's own accord, & now it's back (with a vengance)

I'm still getting orders in so I guess it's sort of OK?

I'm Confused.

I'm storing sessions in mysql.

(Not sure if it is relevant or not but )I have 5 domain names pointing at the same space.

contents of configure.php are available here

Does anyone have any clue as to what may be going wrong?

Does anyone know how I can stop using so many (brackets) in sentences?

If you fancy trying it out you can use :-

I was just having the same trouble and like you, I have a differant server for SSL. In the configure.php that is in your catalog/includes directory you will find a line:

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'https://your.ssl.domain.com');

The bolded address should match the one you listed for your HTTPS_SERVER. Or at least that is what I did to get it to work.

Hi Guys,

Kevin / Mystic :-

I don't have

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'https://your.ssl.domain.com');

in my configure.php file. I'm using a 2.2 CVS version rather than the MS2

Goldeneyes / Lance

No, I haven't fixed it :cry:

I'm at home at the moment so all appears well from here, but, in the office - same old problem.
