Check line 12 (or possibly 11) to verify that the text is enclosed in single quotes and any single quotes in the text are escaped with a backslash (e.g. tom's store ).

To change your store title (what appears as the browser window title), edit catalog/includes/languages/[language].php and set the STORE_TITLE define to look like:

define('STORE_TITLE', 'Dawn's Designs');

To change the text displayed on the main page, you need to edit catalog/includes/languages/[language]/index.php (or default.php depending upon your version of osC) and set the MAIN_TEXT define accordingly.

An example with some html would be:

define('MAIN_TEXT', '<b>Welcome to Dawn's Designs!</b><br><br>We develop web sites that make people drool and generate sales.<br>');

Does that help?

Did you put the entries in the files that I specified?

Where were the files that you were editing?

It appears that your folder is named index.php???

Did you actually delete your database, empty it, or rename it?

If you deleted the database, then you will need to create a new database (you can use the same name) and assign a user to it (preferably the same user). Then proceed to the emptied database steps below.

If you emptied the database, then you will need to reimport the database information and re-setup your store. The easiest way to do this is to re-run the install script and only select to import the database.
