This is really strange.

I'm testing my shop.

I ordered something as a customer and i got the following email:

To: "customer name" <[email protected]>

Subject: Order Process #7

From: "DiscountLanyards.com" <Sales@> | This is spam | Add to Address Book,

Date: Tue, 05 Aug 2003 10:32:24 -0700

settings under store

Store Name DiscountLanyards.com

Store Owner DiscountLanyards.com

E-Mail Address Sales Dept. <[email protected]>

E-Mail From Sales Dept. <[email protected]>

checkout_process.php: roughly line 311-115

tep_mail('', SEND_EXTRA_ORDER_EMAILS_TO, 'NEW - ' . EMAIL_TEXT_SUBJECT . ' #' . $insert_id, nl2br($email_order), '', EMAIL_FROM);

So whats ' up with the customer receiving an emails that reads

From: "DiscountLanyards.com" <Sales@> ??

Thanks guys for your help in advance.

well, i disagree.

Problem1:

I've gotten other emails, where it would be like this:

Name <email address here>

Problem2:

when you hit reply,

in the to filed, it reads this:

"DiscountLanyards.com" <[email protected]>, [email protected].

it shouldn't say that because its not [email protected], its [email protected] and that error message dont' make sense.

yea, so from the above, its doesn't seem that this is what yahoo likes to do.

any other suggestions? everyhting is welcomed. Thanks.

I just changed my setting to this:

Store Name DiscountLanyards.com

Store Owner DiscountLanyards.com

E-Mail Address "Sales Dept." <[email protected]>

E-Mail From "Sales Dept." <[email protected]>

and now my the email that is sent to the customer looks like this:

From: "DiscountLanyards.com" <Sales Dept.@>

..........

old: From: "DiscountLanyards.com" <Sales@>

new: From: "DiscountLanyards.com" <Sales Dept.@>

old:

E-Mail Address Sales Dept. <[email protected]>

E-Mail From Sales Dept. <[email protected]>

new:

E-Mail Address "Sales Dept." <[email protected]>

E-Mail From "Sales Dept." <[email protected]>

so it has something to do with "quotes"
