ITs located in your language files eg english.php or french.php or german.php etc etc

find the following lines near the top of the page

// page title

define('TITLE', 'osCommerce');

changes osCommerce to whatever you want it to be.

Just an add-on. If you want to create dynamic page titles, you can simply add the code below....

define "TITLE" as your shop name....and then add this code to your product_info.php page

replace:

<title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title>

with:

<?php

 if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) {

 $title_query = tep_db_query("select products_name from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " where products_id = '" . (int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "'");

 $title_results = tep_db_fetch_array($title_query);

 echo "<title>Buy " . $title_results['products_name'] . " at " . TITLE . "</title>";

 } else {

 echo "<title>" . TITLE . "</title>";

 }

?>

// page title

define('TITLE', 'osCommerce');

That`s what I did in English.php and Japanese.php and the /catalog/ does not open at all any more, gives error 403. Why??

Also what should be the permission codes for these files?

I set them to 755, is this correct?? Because using the file manager from Administration panel tells me that I cannot not write to these files and I should change permission.

Thanks is advance,

Janika

Just ignore my question. I am stupid... guess the heat is killing me... I forgot to add default.php to the end of /catalog/ ... no comments

Any answer about permissions is still appreciated.

Thanks,

Janika

Hi

I've had to change permissions temporarily to edit some files. I also found that editting via File Manager screwed up the first and only file I edited via it.

Now I copy to my desktop, copy again and name it original, edit using wordpad and ftp back.

That way I don't have to worry about permissions to edit.
