Lost Admin Password

I lost my admin username/password for my site. I have access to all files and the database...how can I retrieve or reset this?

How is your admin protected? .htaccess? A contribution? If the latter, which one?

If you have shell access, I'm pretty sure that you can reset the password with the htpasswd command. You might have to be root to do so. If you can't do that (no shell or no root), then you might want to ask your host to help you.

 

I'm not sure of the syntax.
