2.2MS2 Email Not Working

I hope I'm not crazy, and it is happening with TONS of people too... but when using 2.2MS2, it doesn't send out any emails to any of the customers. It only sends an email to the email I specify in the admin section to send extra emails to.

 

When I create an account, it doesn't email the password. When I place an order, update the status of an order, or even directly go into the admin>email section and email to a specific email address (mine actually, so i know it works!) it STILL doesn't email.

 

Any suggestions?

When you try to send email from the admin section, have you tried sending email to the "send extra order emails to" address? Does that still work there?

 

Are you on a MS Windows server? Or Unix/Linux? Is your E-Mail Transport Method in admin :arrow: Configuration :arrow: E-Mail Options set to SMTP or sendmail? In php.ini, what are you sendmail_path, sendmail_from, and SMTP set to? When you get a "send extra order emails to" email, from what address is it listed as being sent?

I'm having the same problem, only works when I do the extra e-mail thing. Where is php.ini? I can't find it. Thanks!

php.ini is normally in the /etc directory on a Unix/Linux server or the Windows (or WinNT, etc.) directory on a MS Windows box. Note: you would need access to areas below the web root to see it. If you do not have such access, you should ask your host for that information.

I am on a unix/linux server, It is set to sendmail, and when i get the order emails to the "extra orders" email account, it says it is from the same account... the "send extra orders" email.

 

Now where do i go from here? Thanks!

I have 2 sites, on 2 seperate domains running osCommerce and i just checked both of them for versions, . One of them is MS2, and the other is tep_snapshot 20030624 release. Does that make any difference?

 

Neither of the servers running osCommerce , both versions, are sending emails to the customers.
