I know lots has been said about this, but is anyone currently looking at/ working on or doing anything of interest in this area.

I think it's an important feature and that all interested parties should try and work out a structure and a contribution, if possible.

Personally I would suggest starting with a blank canvas rather than trying to fix any of the P&G contributions.

Any thoughts, comments or ideas?

I am not working on something like this at the moment and most likely not in the near future. Here a few comments/suggestions:

-There is a contribution if you need to add or delete order items. I used this one before and it seems to work just fine.

-I posted some code to insert a superuser PW into the cart. This allows you to login as a customer not knowing their password. You then can add an order manually without a problem.

I think BluePhenix is working on sonthing.

I was thinking that the "Update" order bolt on contribution would be a good place to start on one.

Both of the above ideas make sense.

How would you envisage an order from a new customer happenning?

Would the shop owner set up the account and then use the update contribution to add an order?

Although this could be made workable, shouldn't we be thinking about a method of manual ordering specifically designed for the purpose rather than modifying one?

Also, can you point me at the thread (if any) regarding BluePhenix?

I needed a manual entry mod in a hurry so I decided to just scale back the existing one. It is currently working - ie I can create accounts, login to that account or other accounts, make orders, etc. The problem comes in that I posted asking for people to test - Matt did a test and got an error - I have not bee able to replicate that error so I am not sure if I should go ahead and release it just to get something out there (could be done by tomorrow) or if I should wait and clean it up more (would take a month or so).

Any feedback?

I took out all other mods except the manual order entry - the admin can login to client accounts, create orders and create accounts.

Still have a lot of extraneous info to clean up but currently it works for what I needed
