shaky Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 OSC->MS1 Hi, I seem to be loosing quite a number of customers at the create_account.php stage. My customers seem to be in a hurry and for some reason if they have ordered from me in the past and already created an account - they still go to the Create New Account option, rather than just login in. What happens next is that they put in all their details and click on continue, and they get directed towards create_account_process.php where they are told that their user name has already been used.... Obviously it has been used before by the same customer but at this stage they simply give up and go buy from elswhere...not good. Is there a way that I can tell oscommerce to simply create duplicate accounts with the same email details etc...rather than loosing customers? Maybe an auto increment or something?? Many thanks.
Guest Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 You might want to consider using the Purchase Without Account contribution. There is a thread in the Contributions area explaining how to set it to delete the customer info after you are done with it. Good luck, Matt
