Guest Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 I have oscommerce running on my windows server at www.blitzireland.com/catalog. On activating the cart, the installation procedure automatically creates an "OSCommerce user", which I can only presume is the user account that would be used to edit cart settings, add & delete products, etc... I find however that when I go to www.blitzireland.com/admin I cannot use this username/password pair to get access to the administrative functions of oscommerce. I have to use the root password for my server. As I intend to allow a client to use the admin facility I obviously cannot afford to give them my root password. I'm also looking for a way to change the password associated with the default user. My host does not seem too interested in helping me with this matter, they just said "contact the creators of the software". Thanks for the help/advice.
