drakonan Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Is there an easy way to make the main category show on the first page like the subcategories do? I want to completely get rid of columns and this'd be the first step. Thanks - - - - Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

drakonan Posted July 30, 2003 Author Posted July 30, 2003 Hey thanks, but i'm not sure if you know what i mean... I looked at your link and it seems to be a replacement for allprods.php (but instead for categories) Here, let your mind take a picture of this: You know how on a default install you've got "What's New" in the center table (the main page area)? Well, instead of what's new (I've already removed it) I want the main categories to show with picture, you know, just like what you'd see in your main center screen if you clicked on a main category in the "categories" navigation infobox. Does that make sense? I'm saying similar to this: https://www.woodmizer.com/shop/ I'm not sure if I want the pictures as the large area, and then the text under as i described above, or just the categories displayed in the middle with a nice, large and primary -readable- font. (I want to do whatever one is easiest to do) Anyway, I downloaded what you have linked me to anyway to see what it looks like. You may have understood me initially, and this may work, i just read that the intended purpose was different and wanted you to just confirm that this would work for me. I appreciate your time, Thanks - - - - Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
Guest Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Sorry for not explaining - ice-cream covered toddler on knee  You can add this contribution as a seperate page, or as part of your homepage, header, footer or anywhere else you want to put it. For example http://www.tibetcollection.com/ have it in their homepage. See also http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29792 hth
