futureservers Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Hi there Apart from a test install of MS1 a few weeks ago, this is our first install of this impressive product, so apologies if I've missed something obvious. Our reseller's client would like the admin directory to have a unique name, and be "alongside" rather than under the /catalog directory. The Install file indicates this should be possible:- Do the same for the 'admin' directory but rename the directory to a unique and secret name. This directory does not have to reside inside the catalog directory, though may need to be manually configured. but the (automated) install process doesn't seem to give an option for this (and it appears to be hard coded in install_7.php which doesn't appear designed for user customisation). So - can it be done, if so which bits do I need to prod? Many thanks in anticipation John FutureServers.Net
xxGeek Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 sure it's possible all you have to do is rename the directory to what you want and put it where you want, than change the configure.php files to reflect the changes. But as far as i know that has to be done by modifing the configure.php files. The more you do, the more you learn
