Editing Moudles: Credit card + Province omition + Shiping ed

Editing the credit card pay module to include card type + something else abotu optional feilds:

 

{please be patient with me} I am a newbie, but so far with your help my shop has no errors. I hope throgh those modifications that I do now, there will be no errors aswell.

 

1) I would like to have credit card type inserted from a dropdown box. I have no idea how to do this. In posts before someone says "edit it", I am a quick learner, but I have no idea (after looking at code) how to begin.

 

2) I would like to make the state/province feild optional or delete it completly from all info in possible.

This requires changes on several files if I am not wrong.. because it is displayed in reports/admin panel/ cousmer info .. etc.

 

3) Changing shipping text-> instead of flat rate it should say Currior mail. Please quote where I should change

1- The card type is defined by the first 3 or 4 first digit so you dont have to create that dropdown box

 

3- change your text in includes/languages/english or whatever language you use/modules/shipping/flat.php

after fixing these problems I need help with one big issue. The credit card compnies here require that we submit the Identification Number (like SSN in USA) of persons with their credit card info in order to receive payment.

would you know how to add a field for that on payment options in both eng and the 2nd lanuage that i installed.

which files needs to be edited and what should be inserted?
