Slow loading time

My oscommerce site is loading kinda slow.

 

Both the admin and the catalog are being hosted on the same site.

 

All of the pages on the catalog site take 45 seconds to load. The admin part loads lightning quick.

 

I checked the mysql database processes and saw that the process was "sleeping".

 

What would cause this?
