mike2001 Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 how to disable shipping adress for virtual products in OSC MS 2 ==> delivery online ? thanxs
Guest Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 I'm interested in knowing this too. How can you flag a product as virtual - so there is no shipping address or charge? Thanks
lqt_chuck Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 i am also interested in knowing this, and in general, more information on how to setup products that will not display shipping info at all. not in checkout procedure, nor in email, reports, etc.
peloke Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 I could be completely off but just looking at the code it looks like...if you go to admin>products attributes you can specify products as downloads..I think that would create them as virtual.
lqt_chuck Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Ok, lets make it clear, i have non downloadable / non shippable products. so i do not want to use any shipping / delevry modules i do not want them to show up in checkout from in the confirmation email they send you and everywhere else it could be shown. For a product to have a chance to be virtual you need to 1, have weight = 0 2, enable download = true 3, set products for download somehow in the products_attributes but i have no files related with this product, so it's putting it as physical again. Can anyone help me setup my shop with all virtual products, without replacing every instence of physical with virtual in includes/classes/shopping_cart.php
Longsword Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 Hi lqt_chuck Thank you for the hint regarding the virtual products. I should have loved if your information have been a part of the official documentation. I have only wasted app. 29 hours intensive research to find out, why all products in a new shop didn't calculated the shipping. Thought it was a PHP-problem, a shipping-module problem, a database-problem... and then it was SO nice simple  Thank you Jes
