Daemonj Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 Yes, osCommerce uses cookies if they are enabled. The session id, user's first name, and an expiration date are stored in the cookie. All other information is contain in the session refereced by the session id in the cookie. If you are using the MS2 version of osC and have the Force Cookies setting in Admin ~ Configuration ~ Sessions set to True, then the user will receive a page informing them that cookies need to be enabled. In regards to notifying the customer that you are using cookies, take a look at the contributions section for the privacy and info contribution. It details cookie usage (among other things) very well. I hope that helps. "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence." - A. Einstein
