Best way to learn is to screw everything up and figure out how you did it and how to not do that again. :D However, generically, to change the headers and footers around, you need to change includes/languages/english/header.php includes/languages/english/footer.php ive also noticed that you cant change the footer text in the footer.php, you have to do that through the admin panel under Configuration --> My Store --> Store Copyright. Apparently that field overwrites any text you try to change in the PHP file, or so I've noticed. You can use HTML in the Store Copyright field, though, so it works just the same. my signature was banned. so now i have this.

I have an HTML header and it has design that has to be different when the language is switched. Can someone help me with that?
