Could this be sabotage

I have just had a customer contact me who when entering my site received a message telling her that access is denied as there are too many connections?

I checked my whosonline to find 25 users with almost identicle IP address's and their last clicks all over five minutes ago.

Could this be someone deliberately spamming my website apparently in order to prevent access to anyone else? Would 25 users be enough to block access to other users?

Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

1- The to many connections problem is not on your store but on your web hosting provider ask him the ratio client/server, The client beeing you who buys hosting

2- the 25 users online might be search engine spider

Hi Bear,

Thanks for your reply. My web host has admitted there is a problem with their shared MySQL database. And I think you are correct about the spidering, I have traced the IP to inktomi. Just surprised it took over two hours to spider my site, its not that big! Either way it looks like the two things are not linked.
