thebattosai Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 hello, new here to oscommerce, and so far i love it, seems pretty easy to configure, i just have a few problems. 1. how can i add the tax to "taxable goods" so that when someone purchases an item, the subtotal, shipping and tax is all included in the total. I set up the zone which is IL. and the IL state tax which is 8.75% but it won't add the tax when items are purchased. 2. how to i change the "look" of my store. I don't want to change it drastically, i just want to change the defualt colors to purple and lilac if possible. I'm not very computer savvy, i'm learning as i go. I would appreciate any help or hints. thanks. ^_^

I am assuming that the account that is doing the purchasing has an address in Illinois. Is this correct? If so, are your products a part of the Taxable Goods class? 2. how to i change the "look" of my store. I recommend TopStyle Lite for editing stylesheets. "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. peloke Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 Yes, once you edit the style sheet, you will also notice boxes on the sides of the title bars, you will need to open those images in a graphics program and change the color to match your style color. Eddie

Eddie Even better is to set the images to be transparent. ;) "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds.
