HELP WANTED Does your shop have lots of products/categories?

I saw some posts on the board of people who had to turn off 'categories count' because of performance issues.

 

I have a possible solution to this problem and need people willling to test, have a look at http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=51746 and see if you think you can help out.

 

This is not finished code, but something that will give an idea of how much performance can be gained using a different way of generating the catagory list.

If you can spare some time to run this test, please post your results to the above thread (preferably with some indication of the amount of categories/ products in your store).
