We are currently using PayPal with instant downloads, however we have had an issue of people figuring out the system and downloading products without paying. Does anyone know of a way to keep the system automated while still protecting our products? IPN is not a viable solution as we have several different websites accepting payment with the same PayPal account. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!
Guest Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Hello, The only way really you can stop that is using the IPN feature along with the Downloads Controller contribution for OSC. That way you can set the donwloads controller to "release the link" only if you get a "COMPLETE" status via IPN. Other then that, all I can think of is using a different payment gateway such a 2checkout. They do charge you a setup fee but hey, beats getting robbed. Hope this helps ;)
