Product description does not fill the browser window

Hi,

I have just downloaded and installed the latest version of osCommerce (osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 (07/12/2003)). I am now populating the database with some items.

However, while testing my configuration I see the products in the webshop sometimes in a very small column in the window. So I have the Categories on the left, the description in the middle and the Shopping Cart on the right. However I expect the middle colomn to fill the page, not to be about the same size as the left and right columns.

At other times the page neatly fills the browser window, so behaving as I expect... :D

The above happens while viewing a product or looking at a manufacturer page. In the case that the page fills the availbe browser window, resizing the window will resize the columns too. However, when the page is displayed in 3 small columns, resizing the browser window does not resize the content/columns.

I have not figured out what the difference is, i.e. when the content of the window shows over the full width of the page and when the window is not filled.

Maybe any of you have seen this before? I have tried seraching though this forum, but the large number of messages makes it hard to find out if this has been reported before.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ivo.

Just wanted to let you know, that I have noticed the same problem on both a localhost on Apache / Windows and a Apache / Linux setup.

I havn't had time to look into it though, but I hope others have.

Best Regards

Hi Ivo.

I've solve my problem by doing this:

Admin -> Configuration -> Sessions -> Force cookie use = True.

I'm not sure why, and would like someone to clarify this.

Best Regards

I would check if this bug applies. Ignore the last comment there. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the rest.

Hth,

Matt
