Cheeky Chino Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 OK i had fixed my imaging problem where i took away the image width and then all the images looked good and all fit. UNTILL i added some very wide images, and cause there was no width set, the images stretched all over the page! Not good! So i then set the image width to 170. Now the bigger images look better BUT, the smaller images are stretched to hell! Demo of this problem can be seen here: http://www.ozcasemodz.com/shop/catalog/def...lt.php?cPath=31 Please post on how to overcome this problematic situation thankyou. So 1. If no image width is set, it screws up the page layout and puts side navbars far out to the right. 2. If image width is set say to 170, images are shrunken unless they are small and are then widened to 170 geratly ruining image quality. Thanks for any input ahead. Guest Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Would it be a problem to only specify the width and let the browser resize the height proportionally?
Cheeky Chino Posted July 23, 2003 Author Posted July 23, 2003 OK, that does help. But not effective. Yet now some of the images are too high/big and screw up the layout! This is a stupid problem, doesnt anyone know how to fix it? Ozcasemodz.com - Your All Australian Case Modding Site Ozsource.com.au - Your Australian Counter-Strike: Source Website
Guest Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 OK, that does help. But not effective. Yet now some of the images are too high/big and screw up the layout! That's what I meant by: "Would it be a problem...." This is a stupid problem, doesnt anyone know how to fix it? Uhm, I hope I misunderstood the tone of that. You're getting a reply within an hour of posting your question, and you're getting impatient? Anyway, have a look at: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,350 If that is no good for you, then there's two options left: - resize images before uploading (You could set up a photoshop macro for that or use a batch image resizer). - Or whip up some custom code. (have look at the GD functions in PHP.) HTH, Rob
