someone can help with the default operators?

Hi, I'm using oscommerce-2.2ms2 and the default operator "or" -> "and"

Problem 1 - I have set up AND for the default search, but only the "OR" works for me.

 

Problem 2 - I'd like to change the default operator to "e" because I'm using brazilian portuguese language. Someone can tell me the name of the table or the file that I have to change this?
