I don't want to sound stupid, but in preperations for moving to 2.2milestone 2 or when it's officially released (I think I'll just wait the extra days). It came accross to me that I don't know exactly which version of OSC I'm running. Can anyone tell me what the easiest way to find out is? Thank you very much. Ivan

I don't think that I have a cvs folder. Or can you tell me where it is usually located? I installed the software from a cd that a colleague burned for me and do not believe that a folder named cvs was included. Thanks again. Ivan

arme Posted July 22, 2003 Author Posted July 22, 2003 Well I guess I'm screwed, cause I don't have any of them. They must have been removed prior to burning the cd. From what I've been reading it seems that it'll be best to start with a fresh install of 2.2 MS2 anyways which is what I'll do when it's finally realeased. Does this mean that I'll also have to start with a fresh database or can the database be migrated/upgraded but all application files start new? I really appreciate all of your help. Thanks. Ivan
Rumble Posted July 22, 2003 Posted July 22, 2003 Well i guess you dont have to wait too soon 2.2MS2 http://www.oscommerce.com/downloads/milestones This is the current stable version! 2.2CVS is the current ongoing version from MS2 Yes you will probably be able to save your database, just compare it to the database fileds in MS2 and add any missing tables or fields! I went live and am having no problems thus far, I believe that I will stay with this version until MS2 is finally fully released as you said it should be very soon.
