How long does google take to determine PageRank?

How long does google take to determine PageRank? I'm getting more and more hits from targeted keywords for a few weeks now, but my pagerank is zero! I also have over 170 pages listed in Google.

I've done a huge amount of optimisation to my site too; in fact I don?t know what else I can do (except build up more reciprocal links, I know I?m already linked to several sites with a pagerank between 4-7)

Thanks

Sometimes imediatly, sometimes up to 3 months.

Google is kind of flakey.

Actually, your pager rank is greyed out, usually meaning that they found something they didn't like, like a redirect or something.

Also, your page took about 20 seconds on a T1 to load. I'd say that could be a problem right there.

it doesnt appear to be grey now... 20 second on a T1? where abouts are you in the world?.. my site is stored in london.. that might be a reason maybe.. i know i need to cut down on file size though

We're in the East Coast of the US. And you're file size is nowhere near what ours is, nad it still seems to take awhile to load. Maybe you should run it through a page load tester.

Anyway, you are right, page rank is there now, just a 0. It was greyed out earlier.

I ran your site through the link popularity checker (http://www.checkyourlinkpopularity.com/?lpc) and it looks like you've only got about 4 recognozed links accross google, which would normally get you about a 2 or 3, but you've also only got about 24 links accross the internet, which isn't much at all.

i've heard people having success with just several good links, i'm also listed on DMOZ... do you think that will make a difference?

A DMOZ listing will definatly help.....down the road.
