Broken Images links in admin interface...

Hello everyone...when I first installed osC the admin interface was fine, but at some point all the images links were broken, do you know what caused it? And how to solve this problem?

 

Also, right now my osC address is e.g. http://www.mydomain.com/catalog/default.php

 

but i want to change it to the root of the domain, which is www.mydomain.com

 

is there anyway to do this?
