installation setup with admin

setup went smooth, even the catalog page came up ok, but when accessing the admin page it opens up then when you click a link to configure it trys to access my domain page that administers my website.

need help.

what domain name did you enter in the installation :?:

Its asking for a user name and password when I try to access a link in your admin, put in seems to direct to the correct page, but I cannot check fully as the directory is password protected.

I have the same problem. After u open the admin panel for osCommerce, and click on any links, if fowards you to the ensim control panel and not the oscommerce one.

The reason for the redirect is because of the software used to protect your admin section.

It doesnt affect the functionability of your shop does it?

ok, you need to go into your hosting control panel and you need to remove the password protection on the admin directory and the protect it using .htaccess.

i'm sorry but i'm a little lost.

where do i switch the protection on the admin and what needs to be setup in the .hat*** file.

directory is not protected, i have checked all the settings, is it possible that the configuration is setup up wrong.

No, I presume it was set up via one click setup in your control panal?

If this is so then the control panel automatically protected the directory, you need to contact your hosting provider and ask them how to unprotect it if this is the case.
