Admin Q and product_info Q

I was handed a half done site and need to finish it up stat.

I have 2 things that I've been racking my brain on and can't figure out.

 

1. I downloaded the products EP file and made a few mods to some product descriptions - if I upload the modified file through the admin site will the products show the changes or will the admin site create new products or will it just crap out?

 

2. The product_info page shows the header info and product pict and description but no attributes or 'add to cart' button. What should I look for? it isn't erroring out, just isn't displaying the most important part! (BTW. the product_info.php page has the Webmakers.com attribute sorter modification added).

 

Any help would be great. I'm new to OSC and a php newbie but so far I'm in love with both!
