itwebsolution Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 For some reason, every week, my who's online database table overloads and crashes the entire system. I will write down the explict error message I receive next time it happens, but the only way to fix it has been to drop the who's online table and re-create it. 1) Has this happened to anyone before? 2) How do you fix it? Is this a cron job everyday to drop and recreate the table or to flush it? Thanks! Ian
wizardsandwars Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 Tell your host that they need to upgrade the MySQL client services to 4.0.13. The cpanel automatic updates updated the MySQL server version to 4.0.13 but the host never updated the client services from version 3.xx, and the two are not copmpatible. Trust me, I've been through this *extensively* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
