Hello All;

Could someone please let me know if the Database Structor From:

osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 1

To

osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2

Has changed?

Reason:

I lost my sites before, but luckily, I have backed up my Database.

For my shop that I was in the process of building.

With over 400 items already inserted into the Database.

I would hate to have to redo it again

Could someone please advise me on any Database changes?

Also. Could someone let me know the following information as well Please?

When I go to Install the shop.

On the Configuration when it ask if you would like to:

[ Import Catalog Database ]

Would I choose this, and then on the Next screen just type in the

Name of the existing Database?

Thank You

Wayne

Yes, it has. I believe that there is an update script in the extras folder of the zip. Note: I haven't used it, so you should be careful that you are using the right one. There is also a 2.1 to 2.2 update script. Don't use that one :)

No, you would uncheck import database, because you should import your database prior to doing this. This is for importing a default database that OSC provides into the MySQL database of your choice. If you choose this, it will erase the current database with that name and replace it with a default osCommerce database.

Do you only know how to import the database in osCommerce itself? If so, you should probably see if you can find a way to download a copy of MS1 and reinstall that (with a default install). Then you can restore the database over the default and then upgrade to MS2. I think that mixing MS1 and MS2 can cause problems if you are not sure exactly what you are doing.

Good luck,

Matt
