My first OSC install, your input is appreciated...

I'm getting ready to go live with my first OSC install and would appreciate your input as it relates to the design and usability of the store, located at http://www.analystforum.com/shop/catalog/index.php. It's not as fancy as some of the sites listed as it is mostly stock. One of the items I'm considering is removing the text description/link from underneath the category images because it looks redundant to me. What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your input.

one thing i would say off the bat is that the "CFA Exam Level' infobox does not look right on that page. the straight blue underlined linking style doesn't match well with the rest of your site., I would think about maybe making the links non underlined in a charcoal color to match the border of the infoboxes more

and i agree that the text under the categroy images is redundant.

also, when you add an item to your cart, the 'continue shopping' button is stock, and does not match the look of the 'update' and 'checkout' buttons that you have customized.

also, i'm not sure if this is just because you're not live, but the checkout process does not appear to be secure which I'm sure would turn off many customers.

overall though it looks very nice and matches the rest of your site well.

Thanks for the feedback. Good catch on the "continue shopping" button, we have fixed it to look like the others. Now I need to figure out how to remove the links from the category images.

Cheers.
