An FTP program will usually allow you to change file permissions and delete the install directory.

Good luck,

Yeah, but what should the CHMOD permissions be set to?

chmod to 755 or 777 (if 755 doesn't work).

Oh, and the includes/configure.php file should be set to 644 (or 444 if that doesn't work). Missed seeing that error the last time I looked at this.

In general, I would tend to use a graphical ftp client to do this. They generally offer the capability to do this much like you would in a local directory window (delete with the delete key; change file permissions by right clicking, selecting properties, and modifying appropriately). I don't know that I can give more specific help than that. If you are still having trouble, you might want to post what ftp client you are using. Someone else might be able to give you more specific instructions.

Good luck,

Matt

I found what CHMOD setting to use right after I posted the first message. My post was more to bring to light the CHMOD setting was not listed in your answer to the original question. Thanks for the help though.
