maintaining state

I was testing 2.2ms1 and just moved to ms2. It seems sessions are being handled a little different. Is file sessions broken?

 

I know many people are posting a session error issue, and the answer out there seems to be to use define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); in the configure.php. Doing this, I am able to have a session up to the point where someone needs to log onto the system. At that point, the cart is cleared of all items that were selected.

 

I believe it may be because I am using two different domain names - one for non-auth use and the other (completly different domain name) for auth traffic. This was not an issue with ms1 but it is a problem now.

 

Any ideas?
